1987 Wind Challenge Artist
Janet Biggs earned a BFA from Moore College of Art and pursued Graduate Studies at Rhode Island School of Design in the Glass/Sculpture Program. Her work focuses on individuals in extreme landscapes or situations, navigating the territory between art, science and technology. Biggs has also received numerous awards and grants including the 2018 John Simon Guggenheim Foundation fellowship, the Visionary Woman Award, the Arctic Circle Fellowship/Residency, and the NEA Fellowship Award among many others
