The gallery's Spring exhibition brings together the works of award-winning German photographer Jessica Backhaus and renowned Philadelphia sculptor Dina Wind (1938-2014) to create an exciting landscape of shape, color, and shadow. Abstract Dimensions features 16 photographs from Backhaus's Cut Outs series, 15 of Wind's sculptures from 1986 to 2006, and a short documentary video, The Art of Dina Wind, screening in the Vault.

"Abstract Expressionism is at the heart of Dina Wind’s art. The push/pull of Hans Hoffman, the crushed metals of John Chamberlain, the gesture and movement of Willem de Kooning and Franz Kline.... Add to this a commitment to the environment and upcycling, a nod to Cubism, and even the study of Ikebana, and you begin to understand the genesis of Wind’s unique assemblages."
