In conjunction with a retrospective of abstract painter Elaine Kurtz, Elemental: Nature as Language in the Works of Philadelphia Artists brings together a diverse group of Kurtz’s peers for whom nature has spurred creativity in composition, form and style. Dina Wind's Black Islands has been reinstalled by the artist and set in dialogue with a selection of Kurtz's heavily impastoed, black works.
