"My work is based in personal narratives and explores grief, ancestry, family relations and memory. I frequently use domestic objects and settings as my starting points and work in sculpture, collage, installation and photography. Elizabeth Hamilton, originally from outside Boston, relocated to Philadelphia to attend the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, receiving her MFA. She was chosen as a Fleisher Wind Challenge artist in 2013 and has exhibited at museums and galleries including the Philip and Muriel Berman Museum, Delaware Contemporary, Cantor Art Gallery, Woodmere Art Museum, and InLight Richmond at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Her work can be found in the West Collection, Drexel University, and Harper College. She lives in the Philadelphia area with her husband and two children.
