2001 Wind Challenge Artist
Vincent David Feldman earned a BFA from George Washington University and an MFA from Tyler School of Art at Temple University. While inspired by funerary architecture the artist discovered in Scottish churchyards, both site and context have been eliminated in the prints, as it is not Feldman's intention for viewers of this work to enter the gallery as if it were a cemetery. Rather, Feldman is interested in the distillation of architecture in general and is searching for an understanding of the civilization that fashioned these monuments of stone and how these objects of permanence weathered the centuries.
