1989 Wind Challenge Artist
Nicholas Kripal earned a BFA and a MS in Art Education from the University of Nebraska, Kearney and an MFA from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. He received 3 Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Fellowships, and a 1999 Pew Fellowship in the Arts, and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, and was Artist-in-Residence, La Napoule Art Foundation, La Napoule, France, sponsored by the Pew Foundation for the Arts. He was a Co-Founder of the Crane Arts Building and was a Professor at Tyler School of Art for 31 years.
