Congratulations to Monument Lab on last week’s powerful Summit, held in their new Village of Industry & Art home.
The Monument Lab Summit is a biennial gathering of kindred spirits in the monument world, and this year Dina Wind Art Foundation was proud to be a sponsor of the event, contributing to Sasha Stiles’ intriguing and forward looking “Textblocks”.
About Textblocks:
“A series of video poems generated in collaboration with the artist’s AI alter ego, a custom language model trained on her own writing. Each work unfolds as a dialogue between human and machine: a shared exploration of language, memory, and connection in a time of profound technological change.
The installation is set against a translation of the line “Words can communicate beyond words” rendered in Cursive Binary, a TrueType font that merges the artist’s handwriting with binary code in a visual metaphor for the convergence of human and machine language.”
