Dina created Black Islands out of painted steel, rubber sheeting, and liquid rubber. It was first shown at Nexus Gallery in 2006, at which time the West Collection purchased one of the three Islands on display. Then, the installation was exhibited as part of a group show with the Philadelphia Sculptors at CraneArts. In 2012 at Woodmere Art Museum the installation was exhibited in conjunction with a retrospective of abstract painter Elaine Kurtz, "Elemental: Nature" . Finally, in 2014 after Dina's passing, the Wind family gifted the West Collection the balance of the installation. It has since been displayed both in their warehouse annex space and at SEI Headquarters in Oaks, PA.
