2023 Wind Challenge Artist
Kara Mshinda earned a degree in Interdisciplinary Anthropology from The University of Akron and an MA in Anthropology of Visual Communication from Temple University. In addition to creating artwork, Mshinda is Fellowship Director at Da Vinci Art Alliance and an instructor at Tyler School of Art and Architecture where she teaches on the themes of race, identity, and artistic practice. She is also a member Tiger Strikes Asteroid Philadelphia. Mshinda's work has been exhibited at Rush Arts Philadelphia, Mana Contemporary Chicago, Leonard Pearlstein Gallery, Philadelphia Sketch Club, 20*20 Gallery, and William Way LGBT Community Center.
