2013 Wind Challenge Artist
Bill Gerhard earned a BFA in Craft from University of the Arts, an MFA in Fiber and Material Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and an Advanced Certificate in Art and Design Education from Pratt Institute. He builds patterned and textured surfaces which represent a world in flux. Gerhard's interest is in revealing phenomena which are subject to change over the time in which the works are being made.
