2010-11 Wind Challenge Artist
Michael Konrad earned both a BS in Studio Art and an MA in Sculpture and Video from New York University. sculptures contemplate the different functions of raw materials in a post-industrial world. His work explores the alternate functions of objects and structures we come into contact with everyday. Through Konrad's sculptures we imagine an environment where objects once considered disposable become valuable resources in a world that favors re-use over waste.
