Larry Spaid is currently Professor of Art at the Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he has taught in the Department of Art and Art Education since 1973. He received an MFA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA in 1973 and a BFA from the John Herron School of Art, Indiana University, Indianapolis, IN in 1969. Spaid has been exhibiting his work since 1976, including in 17 solo exhibitions in the US, the UK and Italy. His work is found in many private, corporate and public collections.
