2000 Wind Challenge Artist
Amy Novack earned a BFA from Tyler School of Art and an MFA from Indiana University, Bloomington. She uses sensuous line, multiple tracings, transfer drawings, and delicate paint application to produce her stream of consciousness paintings. Novak thinks of her paintings as composite maps made up of scenes from a mental landscape of remembered and forgotten images, reminiscent of a childhood board game.
