1999 Wind Challenge Artist
For more than 30 years Dolores Poacelli has had an art studio in the heart of the Italian Market in Philadelphia. Among many awards, in 2024 and in 2011 she was the recipient of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts Fellowship for Painting, and in 2000 awarded the Samuel Fleisher Challenge Exhibit in Philadelphia. Her work has been exhibited widely and is part of many public and private collectons such as SAP Software in Germany, Bank of American in Delaware, Cooper Anderson Hospital in Camden NJ, New York Presbyterian Childrens Hospital in NY, Park Towne Place in Philadelphia, Liberty Properties in Malvern PA, Murano Condominiums in Philadelphia, Psychology Dept. of Princeton University in NJ, and the State of New Jersey.
Poacelli has studied at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and Fleisher Art Memorial, and have worked for many years as a graphic designer. I have been teaching art for 14 years at Perkins Center for the Arts.
