1995 Wind Challenge Artist
James Rose earned a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University, an MFA in Printmaking from Tyler School of Art at Temple University, and studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. He has received two Fellowships in the Visual Arts from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. Rose's work is in the permanent collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the African American Historical and Cultural Museum, the Philadelphia Free Library, and the Allentown Museum.
