1991 Wind Challenge Artist
Mei-ling Hom earned a BA in Ceramic Sculpture from Kirkland College and an MFA in Sculpture from New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. She has received numerous awards and grants such as the Pew Fellowship in Visual Arts, an NEA Visual Artist Fellowship, a Joan Mitchell Foundation Visual Artist Grant, a Fulbright Research Fellowship to South Korea and the BigCi Environmental Residency Award in Australia. Hom's large-scale public art commissions include the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia International Airport, the Raleigh Durham International Airport, and the Live Hotel Casino in Baltimore, Maryland.
