1989 Wind Challenge Artist
Irena Kononovas a Russian-born artist who grew up in St. Petersburg in a theatrical family and attended Art High School. After emigrating to the US, Kononova studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, where she was a recipient of the Cresson Traveling Scholarship and various prizes. Her art is held in many public collections across the country.
