1988 Wind Challenge Artist
Stuart Rome earned a BFA in Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MFA from Arizona State University. He has recevied many awards and grants including the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Grant in 1992, he was an Artist in Residence at The American Academy in Rome in 2014, and was awarded the John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship in 2015. Rome was also a Professor Emeritus in Photography at Drexel University's Antoinette Westphal College of Media Art and Design for 34 years.
