James L. McElhinny earned a BFA in Painting from Tyler School of Art at Temple University and an MFA in Painting from Yale University. He is an accomplished visual artist, author, oral historian, fine-press publisher, and published author. McElhinny's works are held in public collections in museums, libraries, colleges, and universities across the country.
