1982 Wind Challenge Artist
William Welch studied art at Ohio University, Philadelphia College of Art, and School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. A prominent impressionist, Welch painted everything from small watercolor scenes with incredible detail to large murals using oil paint. Welch was also a member of the Artists Association of Nantucket where he exhibited his work for over 35 years.
