Karen-Sam Norgard earned a BFA in Art from University of North Carolina at Greensboro and an MFA in Fine Art from University of Cincinnati. She has taught in the art departments across numerous college and universities and, most recently, has been teaching at the Savannah College of Art and Design from 1994–1999 and from 2007 to the present.
